WHAT GUM RECESSION MEANS FOR YOUR HEALTH

There are many different causes for gum recession (receding gums), but the most common cause of gum recession is periodontitis (periodontal disease). The periodontitis is a devil's cycle in which bacteria grow and spread throughout the mouth. These bacteria have been shown to spread through the bloodstream and cause worsening of other serious diseases such as heart disease, diabetes and even some forms of cancer. If the tooth is exposed, the protective barrier of gum tissue is missing. Often, pain at the base of the tooth already occurs in response to cold stimuli. Without protective gum tissue, our teeth, as well as the bone surrounding the teeth, are much more susceptible to damage from bacteria and external stimuli.

REVERSE RECEDING GUMS

THE TRADITIONAL TREATMENT FOR RECEDING GUMS

Until now, traditional surgery to correct gum recession involved cutting tissue from another part of the mouth and suturing it onto the exposed tooth. This procedure can be very painful, invasive and slow in the healing process. Dr. Roberto Lhotka is pleased to offer his patients a minimally invasive alternative with the Chao Pinhole® Surgical Technique (PST™).

PINHOLE®

PINHOLE®: THE MINIMALLY INVASIVE ALTERNATIVE TO CONVENTIONAL SURGERY FOR RECEDING GUMS

GUMSTREAT YOUR GUM RECESSION IN VIENNA

Dr. Roberto Lhotka is a Pinhole® certified dentist in Austria. He has been specially trained in the Pinhole technique in the USA to offer you this innovative procedure to correct gum recession. Invented by John Chao D.D.S., the Pinhole® procedure is a gentle way to restore your gums. No incisions or sutures are needed. For the procedure, only a small hole, the pinhole, is placed in your gums and then special instruments are used to lift the gums. Collagen strips are inserted for healing. This covers the exposed area. This provides immediate cosmetic results, as well as rapid healing. Most patients can resume their usual activities the very next day!

What
People Say

The pinhole technique is the best thing that could ever happen to me.

Dr. Lhotka is a top dentist and also very, very nice! I come always again with pleasure! Also the entire staff is very friendly! Thank you very much!

A world-class doctor.

I have been undergoing treatment/checks with Dr. Lhotka for years. He has empathy, consultation competence and a fine hand for dental treatments. The office and the staff also deserve the highest praise. I sincerely wish this doctor good business. Admittedly, it is a private practice. But the prices are reasonable and in line with local standards. I have also noticed that many international patients come here. This evaluation is my own and is not made up in any way.

Really highly recommended!

I have had several appointments with Dr. Lhotka in the meantime and I am thrilled and can really highly recommend the office as well as his professional performance. Paradoxically, I now look forward to visits to the dentist. This is partly due to the fact that the organization, the reception acts derat subtly service-oriented, as you usually find only in really good hotels. I have never had to wait. The slightest hint of discomfort is noticed before you notice it yourself and immediately dispelled. I emphasize this because I would not expect this (as an adult), but I think that this kindness is just another manifestation of the fact that - and this is very important to me personally - a doctor is a philanthropist and lives out the idea of healing in an authentically internalized way; both of these things are truly present with Dr. Lhotka. For the treatment itself, Dr. Lhotka took the necessary time to do this also technically arkribisch. The office is, according to my impression, more than up to date and that you have art and a beautiful ambience around you, rounds off a perfect experience.
