WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN VISITING MY PRACTICE

Treatments

Step 1: Careful timing

For me, the time factor is crucial for optimal treatment success. Therefore, we plan your visit and your treatment carefully. This also means that we can make appointments at short notice. Waiting times before treatment are the exception for us, not the rule.

Step 2: an in-depth diagnostic interview

We carry out the diagnostic discussion in peace. In this way, I can optimally understand your concern or problem and determine - or even rule out - possible causes in the first consultation. For me, a holistic medical history is important and that's why I ask if there are any complaints, such as asking if there are other complaints - throughout the body. Many complaints can have an impact on the treatment, such as digestive problems, headaches, spine, earache, sugar, diabetes, high blood pressure, back pain, circular syndrome, neck pain, tension in the shoulder area, sensory disorders in the hands, feet and much more

The way you brush your teeth is often underestimated, but absolutely crucial.

Step 3: detailed treatment planning

As a next step, I will explain the planned treatment and recommended follow-up treatment. This way, I can be sure that we will find the most suitable option for you. Here, you will also receive a cost estimate for the various treatment options that are possible in your individual case.

Step 4: Oral hygiene and treatment

Successful dental treatment works similarly to building a house - the rest of the house can only be safely built on a stable foundation. That's why the foundation has to fit. The same applies to successful dental treatment. To ensure this, we start with thorough oral hygiene. Any inflammation must be removed from the mouth, the gums must be strengthened and healthy, and then the actual treatment can begin.

What are microscopic root canals?

Root canal treatments are necessary to save a tooth when the nerve inside has become inflamed or dead. In many cases, the affected tooth can be saved and does not have to be removed. Using the most modern methods, we ensure that the duration of the treatment is as short as possible.

What is aesthetic dentistry?

In aesthetic dentistry, the focus is on the appearance of the teeth - it deals with the correction of the appearance of the teeth and face. Misaligned teeth, tooth discoloration, old fillings and tooth crowns, tooth gaps or an unfavorable gum line can be corrected and repaired. Because beautiful teeth stand for health, self-confidence and success.

What are prosthetic supplies (= dentures)?

If a tooth is no longer healthy, there are a variety of ways to repair it. It depends on how much tooth substance is left. Small areas of caries or open tooth necks are treated with fillings. The larger the defects on a tooth, the more complex the type of treatment becomes. Large caries defects can be treated with inlays or crowns. If there is only little tooth substance left or if the tooth needs root treatment, I use a pin with a crown. If it has to be pulled, there is the option of using bridges or implants.

What is implant prosthetics?

If several teeth have already been lost or if there are no more natural teeth in the jaw, it makes sense to choose implant prosthetics. One or more dental implants form the support structure to which the dental prosthesis is then attached. The great advantage of this technique is the firm fit of the entire prosthesis. This requires a lot of experience and careful planning.

Fear of the dentist

Many people avoid going to the dentist... and in many cases, fear is the main reason. Fear of the dentist can be triggered by many things - often it is bad experience or uncertainty about the treatment. It is therefore particularly important to me to take your fear seriously, to understand it and to talk to you about it. In addition to precise explanations, there are also various pain-relieving measures in my practice, such as B. general anaesthesia or laughing gas.

Implants

If a tooth is no longer stable at all or several teeth are missing in the jaw, one or more implants should ideally be placed. This means that the tooth is extracted and, in most cases, an implant is placed immediately. This has the advantage that the implant is firmly seated, and the neighbouring teeth are not damaged.

Dental surgeries

Wisdom teeth often have to be surgically removed because they are completely dormant, have grown in or cannot be cleaned at all. Our well-established team will also accompany you through this treatment and ensure that as few complaints as possible occur after the procedure.

Root tip resections

There are many types of treatment for chronically inflamed teeth with a fistula. In special cases, there is a root tip resection, in which the root is shortened from the outside and closed microscopically from below with a special cement.

Prophylaxis/oral hygiene

Dental prophylaxis includes all measures to maintain healthy teeth and gums as well as the prevention of diseases. Daily oral hygiene at home is just as much a part of this as healthy nutrition and professional teeth cleaning. In this way, problems can be prevented and complaints do not arise in the first place.

Bleaching

Many people want white teeth - understandably. From a dental point of view, however, caution is required here - especially with bleaching or whitening toothpastes or agents. In my practice, we carry out careful bleaching, which enables your teeth to be whitened without causing lasting damage. I offer both home bleaching and office bleaching. With home bleaching, a splint is made that fits your teeth exactly and you use it for 14 days, 1 hour a day. In the long term, this is the cheaper option. In the so-called in-office, the teeth are treated within an hour.

Pin-hole treatment “gum lift”

Gum problems are an aesthetic problem, but they are also a health problem. Healthy, strong gums are important for keeping teeth in place and protecting them. At the same time, exposed tooth necks, receding gums, chronic periodontitis and receding gums after orthodontic treatment are among the biggest problems in the oral cavity. With the restorative pin-hole technique, which I am the only doctor to use in Austria, I offer an uncomplicated, lasting and less painful treatment.

Temporomandibular joint treatments

Severe neck pain, tinnitus, malpositions, dizziness, headaches and other complaints can be caused by jaw joint problems. The problem often lies in years of incorrect loading, e.g. B. grinding, abrasion of the tooth surface or clenching of the teeth or tooth or jaw misalignment. Incorrect dental treatments can also be a reason. With individualized therapy concepts, I will help you to eliminate the cause. One possibility is, for example, splint therapy. Here, the problems can be solved by individually adapted plastic splints or corrections of the tooth position.

Aesthetic dentistry

In aesthetic dentistry, the focus is on the appearance of the teeth. Discolorations can be corrected, gaps closed and broken teeth restored. TMJ Treatments

Health begins in the mouth, which is why the correct position of the teeth and the correct position of the jaw joint are also crucial for your health. Otherwise, a variety of complaints can occur, including tension in the neck, shoulder or back area, headaches or ear problems, through to tinnitus, herniated discs or spinal problems. To eliminate these causes, I carry out a detailed analysis. Based on this, I can help you with a splint therapy due to years of improper stress such as grinding, abrasion of the tooth surface, clenching of the teeth or tooth or jaw misalignments. Incorrect dental treatments can also be a reason. The problems can be solved with plastic splints or corrections of the tooth position.
